 Cropping In Photoshop

    For the upcoming districts art festival event, I have to learn to print out pictures that in a size of 14x20 in a 300 pxl resolution. It was my first time experimenting on not just doing those tasks but using the interface of photoshop. I've never used photoshop in my life before and it looks pretty interesting with a lot more buttons and options of the taskbar then there is in Premiere Pro. Mr.Bomboy had a really thorough how to video in class, and I was able to remember how to do it over the weekend, it was a pretty casual yet repetitive process. Other than some photos have bigger white bars than other photos it shouldn't have too much of a issue once they're cut off. Here is one of the finished products.

 Smooth Slow Motion:

    Premiere Pro

    This technique is perfect for cinematic shots or that intentional slow needed shot. I'll definitely be using this in my films and in the future when needed to give off a certain vibe it needs to portray. When the time interpolation is switched to optical flow, it somehow renders more frames into the clip making the motion of the moving object a lot less choppy and spiritic, allowing to make the slow motion look more natural like it was recorded in that FPS.

Blog Update

     I plan to stick with the design I've chosen, while advised against I believe I'm going to use paint, with grey colors to represent the software of Premiere Pro shown in the bottom of the middle section. I will have 6 pictures of my films throughout the years. With each picture I am going to put a small description on the film, shot, and some context behind it. I'll probably add some color to my name to let it flare out and hold a slide show of my films on the laptop that's behind held on the one side of the triangle.

Blog Investigation 4/10

 

    (In School)

    There will be a total of 6 prints, 6 papers to describe the prints, and the thesis paper provided in the middle. There will be one laptop to slideshow films. (Triangle)

    My name will be displayed at the top under the class title. My plan is to use grey with silver, and possibly other colors to go along with the them. Finally there will be an extended desk to hold my laptop(schools) that is showcasing my films.

 Cory McCabe:

    Cory's film was very enjoyable to watch, amazing shots of composition with well composed and cut clips. The one thing I was extremely fascinated about was the small slow motion effect in of of the shots when they were expressing joy and fun. (The Video was listen under private, couldn't post picture of scene). Another thing I admired of his film on how spot on his message was produced throughout the film itself. For my future film I plan to add in a lot of that slow motion effect.  

Sean Hopkins:

    Sean produced an amazing story. I can tell it was decently thought out with passion and expressed a deep meaning into the viewers mind. He had beautiful side pan transitions for his first time making them, and an unexpected on-layer screen effect which was the sticky note drawings. The title screen was edited great as-well. In my next film, there will definitely a lot more screen layered effects which I'm excited for due to the fact I'm focusing on editing rather than a story line.

Winnie Zhu:

    The dedication that was shown to make this film blew me away. After Effects is an interesting program to use  to produce videos instead of Premiere Pro, and Winnie did an amazing job establishing shots and editing overlays into her film. I was impressed on all the animations and sound design too, I can passionately say that hers was probably my favorite film of this showcase. While there's a little story entitled to it, it is still fun to watch.

 

Production Blog Post 3/27

 Production:

        A majority of my clips have been recorded. I have to go through 4 videos of 2-3 hours of footage contained inside each video. I've skimmed through a majority of them. I still have to record the beginning of the video, but as if right now it is matched with the audio, and 3 of the clips(started editing before hand).

    
    I've been working on the time remapping as you can see with the keyframes on the picture above and so far I'm happy with the outcome that's provided, yet still there is much more work to be done. As references, I'll be using my previous blogposts and my playlist on YouTube to help me out with so effects that'll be added on later. Estimating that I might need a short extension however I'm not quite sure on the final production ETA.
