Hybridity

The Works of Hybridity:

What I've learned is that hybridity gives random events with structures and combines them with different cultures of art to give the scenery a more beautiful look to tell a story, or express emotions or the time period someone or the maker was in to understand the uses that were distributed to them during that period. They give structures of depth and wonders and combine them with a proper story that fits extremely well into the meaning or theme. Using the deception and understanding of history and time to combine different cultures and different, advancements in art and video design. Yes, the fact that he took iconic scenery and turned it into a more beautiful sight to show the public a true form of art and design is really inspiring and an interesting event.

Theme/Concept for the Year

My theme/concept for the year is TIME. Time is a really fun and really expanded topic to entertain and show as a form of art work. Time is a short, precious thing to us and I’m sure everything that has life to it, and young kids or children really don’t appreciate the time they have as being kids until they mature into young adults. For my first project I want to create a small video to show how fast time moves day by day, being repetitive to the point of boredom as an upcoming or already adult in society. Waking up, working, going home, working, sleep, repeat. However it’ll show with good dedication towards your work, you’ll receive satisfying rewards that you’ll enjoy, because as life as I see it the phrase “Enjoy the little things.” is an everyday statement in actions. While the theme TIME is easy to understand and compel into a visual idea, it can deeply impact the audience to those viewing it, creating realization. A movie that inspired me to this idea was “Marvel’s Captain America”

After trying so hard to get into the military he worked everyday he feel in love with a woman, and near the end of the movie he sacrificed his life for the greater good, however froze in ice for the next 60 years, which led to present day, and he lost most of his friends and the woman he loved. In the concluding movie “Avengers: End Game”, Captain America (Steve), he went back in time to put back all the proper infinity stones, however instead of coming back to the future, he stayed the years he missed and enjoy his life and then came back old and his life being fulfilled.

A recent game that also gave me the idea was “Little Nightmares II”

This game is a horror/adventure indie game that involves a miniature character (you) and your friend sarah (in yellow rain jacket) travel across many places of an old dystopian world. The boss encounters involve a hunter, teacher, doctor, baker, etc, however the final boss displays a tall man in a suit that chases after you. Near the end of the game you get trapped inside an office building and slowly become the tall man in the suit, the nightmare, and there’s been a lot of theories on what the game actually meant however the protagonist (you) is running away from adulthood, of working over and over everyday, the nightmare of being a child and growing up to become an adult with a profession, but he eventually became one himself. This presents that the childhood is the best parts of your life because you have the most fun rather than becoming an office worker, the time eventually takes everyone and forces to do things people don’t want to do or become.

My film will show that overtime to enjoy what you have now as a child or if you work at least do what you love, because if not, then you will suffer until retirement.
